If your child is in Year 2 at school, they are invited to come and train with the U7s – the Warly Lions!
Training takes place at the club every Sunday from 10am to 11:00/11:15am from the 1st Sunday in September until the 1st Sunday in May. The overriding aim is to try to ensure that the boys and girls have fun and enjoy playing rugby. At U7s level, the children play tag rugby (no tackling). Sessions are designed to be as active as possible and to ensure the children develop and build their basic rugby skills.
Whilst it is not something that will expressly teach, we try to weave the RFU’s core values into the sessions: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
At U7s level, children are introduced to playing rugby festivals with teams from other clubs. We attend several festivals throughout the season.
You are welcome to bring your child down to the club to ‘have a go’ at any point during the season. All they need are some clothes that you are happy for them to get muddy and a drink.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Warly Family!
