WRFC v Cobham.....just a few words
This Saturday we saw 15 club players turnout against top of the table side Cobham and put on a gritty gutsy performance when it came to defence, team cohesiveness, determination and pride. Why 15, because players were not available, injured or just didn't turn up. We ended the game with 12 players because of injury and no subs. These club players did not give up and the whole team were clapped off the pitch by the opposition players and supporters even after the customary end of match tunnel.
With immense pride a huge thanks to the players that pulled on the blue and white shirt ranging from Tony Doe who played the whole game, Nick Ray who turned out after only 4 hours sleep, I could go on and mention every single player because of their exceptional performance they put in as individuals and as a team. They did not give up in any shape or form right to the last minute of the game which was a stated many many times by the Cobham players and supporters.
Well done and thanks to you all and would have you in any 1st team in future because on Saturday you showed how to play not only for your mates but our club as well.
