Dear U10.- happy international women’s day! http://www.internationalwomensday.com/
This week we are away at both Beccehamians RFC - Sparrow's Den, Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham, Kent, BR4 9BB and Guildfordians RFC- The Pavilion, London Road, Guildford, Surrey. GU1 1TU (for player list please see Russ email and Facebook message and also at the end of this message). For those attending Beccs please remember that there is a fee of £3.00 payable by each adult on entry. I have also attached a pitch plan and group listing for this festival. As with both festivals parking is limited and away from the pitches so please arrive early enough to park and walk to the play area arriving on or before 09.45hrs pitch side. Also both events finish early afternoon so please plan to stay with your team until the end of the festival. The met office indicates a temperature of 4c when the festivals commence and with players having to wait between matches please ensure they have not only warm clothing to play in but also extra to put on between games. As with all festivals, when our children put on a Warlingham shirt they not only represent themselves but also their parents the club and the rugby union. Finally on festivals please could you hand either Susan Carter or me £5.00 towards the entry cost.
The following weekend on the 20th March we have two teams away at Worthing B RFC Festival, The Rugby Park, Roundstone Lane, Angmering, West Sussex, BN16 4AX. As before, if you wish to be added to the players list for Russ and his coaches selection please add player names at this poll before Friday 11th March (Currently 14 players have confirmed availability) http://doodle.com/poll/h6igx4chtksrppxn
On both 13th and 20th, for those not attending festivals we will have home training (depending on numbers we may combined with other age-groups)- and on 20th March we have sports relief day at the club. http://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/teamWarlinghamRugbyFootballClub
Please consider supporting Sport Relief and Warlingham by making a donation especially if you will not be at the club on 20th. In the past two years in the UK alone Sport Relief has funded over 2,000 amazing projects including 23 projects in the UK that support people living with dementia, a £300,000 donation towards vulnerable young people who are affected by HIV via their Team Sprit programme. In some of the poorest Countries of the world it has also funded over 189,000 children to attend school and get an education and over 734,000 children to be given life-saving vaccines. A donation of £30 could vaccinate seven children in Africa against five deadly childhood diseases. £50 could pay for ten isolated elderly people in the UK to go to a dinner club and make new friends and £180 would train a midwife to provide life-saving care for thousands of mothers and newborns at a health Centre in Africa.
March 27th is Easter Sunday and their will not be training on this day.
Finally at the club on Saturday you can watch with likeminded rugby fans – 13.30hrs Ireland V Italy and at 16.00hrs England V Wales.
See you Sunday- John
