Morgan, a product of the club’s youth system, will lead a young and exciting squad into this season’s league campaign. At just 21, the strong second row or back row has already been a mainstay of the club’s pack for two seasons.
Morgan has lead from the front and by example and takes the reins at an exciting time for the club with a number of young players coming into the squad or becoming established in the side over recent years.
Morgan was coached by former Warlingham 1st XV skipper Barry Ruddock as a mini and junior player at the club and is keen to get Warlingham back to winning ways.
Morgan Gillam said:
“I feel so privileged to lead the boys onto the pitch this season. Warlingham is the only club I’ve ever played for, so that definitely adds to the feeling!
I can’t wait to get out there and for the team to play with pride in front of our great supporters. It’s a real honour.”
